NMI take patent on the wheel!
(Patent Application nr 20100296)
In
connection with the production of circular actuator NMI has developed a
drive wheel with adjustable roller diameter. Use of the drive wheel
gives new possibilities in the design of for example the water-cutting
equipment where the sand in the machinery is a big problem.
The wheel eliminates the need for quidelines and gears.

Several new employments in North Mechanical Innovation as
New
operation supervisor is now in place, and more CNC- operators are
hired. With the increased capacity NMI can take on even more projects
than earlier.

To utilize our increased production capacity we are now hiring an operational supervisor and several CNC operators.

New
production facilities:
We
have now moved into our new production premises of 500 sq.m. In
addition to greater space for manufacturing we have also invested
larger storage area, anti-static assembly room and new measurment compartment.

Purchasing Mazak Quick-Turn
Nexus 350MY:
In
addition to that we now have increased production capacity further; the
new machine can produce parts with larger dimensions than what has been
possible in our Integrex.

Expansion of production facilities:
Work
on the expansion of production facilities is in progress. We are
planing to expand our premises with a new hall of 500 sq.m. built with
existing building. The building is expected to be completed during 2006.

Now hiring:
To
take full advantage of the increased machine capacity, we need more
staff. Therefore we have decided to hire more service technicians and
CNC operators.

Further expansion of the product range and capacity:
To
be able to further expand our product range, and at the same time
increase our capacity we have now ordered two new CNC machines. This
time we have chosen simpler machines from XYZ, one lathe and a milling
machine. This allows us to create products without the same physical
limitations with regard to the size that we have in Mazak, as well as
increase our capacity of simpler products.

Our
new machine has arrived and a new era for our company has begun. The
new CNC controlled machine enables a variety of parts to be produced.
It will also enable us to further develop parts that meet our customers
needs.

Change of strategy:
North Mechanical Innovation
AS has seen that the market for machining has exceeded it`s limitations
and decide to enter this market ourselves. This will put NMI in a
better position to plan our production and we can take greater
responsibility from start to finish for the products we develop for our
customers.
